Admission requirements
For the written admission test
Young women who have completed 12 years of education (up to HSC or equivalent) either in science, arts or commerce with GPA 6.0
A minimum of 2.5 GPA, in both HSC and SSC level are eligible for the written admission test. After successful completion of the written exam they appear for Viva.
Viva board will look at the applicant’s attitude, knowledge level, economic capacity, health status and Commitment to complete the three-year course and work as a professionally practicing midwife afterwards.
Community Paramedic 2 Year’s

In this course, there is no age limitation.
Medical Assistant Training School (MATS) 4 Year’s
Application Information
After publishing admission circular from State Medical Faculty of Bangladesh (SMFB), candidates from any part of Bangladesh are welcome.
Admission requirements
The candidate who have completed 10 years of education (up to SSC or equivalent) for the last 5 years.
A minimum of 2.5 GPA in SSC or equivalent are eligible for applying this course.
Please note: For Diploma in Midwifery course only female candidate can apply and in the case of all courses admission criteria can be changed based on government rules and regulations
Facilities
Hostel facilities: All the hostels are well equipped and have standard arrangement for food, living and study. Balanced diet is served at the dormitories following a standard diet chart to fulfill the required calorie requirements during studentship period. The housekeeper also stays at the hostel and it has 24*7 security surveillance system.
Classroom facilities: Spacious classrooms with multimedia facilities.
Skill lab, Computer labs and libraries: All courses have standard skill labs in line with International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) standards, Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council (BNMC) and State Medical Faculty of Bangladesh (SMFB) and also computer labs with high speed internet connectivity. Skill labs and computer labs are accessible for all students, 9 am to 8 pm.
Clinical placement: All courses has MOU with a number of clinical facilities for providing space for all the students to practice skills. These include with Own Hospital of Shimantik, M.A.G. Osmani Medical College Hospital, Sylhet and government teaching hospitals/institutes. During clinical skill practice, all the students are accompanied 24/7 by faculty members. Transport facilities are available to and from the clinical placement sites.
Day Care Center: Day Care Center is really very essential for any mothers specially working mothers. 30% of the faculty members have been pregnant at one point of time and others have children below 2 years of age. Day care center for our faculty so that they can enjoy their motherhood as well as child rights can be ensured.
